The Youthie is currently operating winter opening hours of Tuesday to Friday 12.30 – 6pm and Saturdays 10am – 7pm.
Winners are grinners: Goorie Knox beat Shaquille Ervine in the final of the pool competition on Saturday 20th June. Jarryd Knox continues to lead the 2009 Pool Championship with 69 points ahead of Googoorewan Knox with 15 points. Goorie Knox also won the table tennis competition beating Karwin Knox in the final on Saturday 20th June. Jarryd Knox also continues to lead the table tennis competition with 59 points ahead of Craig Luke with 12 points and Shaquille Ervine on 10 points.
The Youthie touch football team had a loss on Wednesday 24th June in the Mixed A Grade Competition, beaten by The Longyard. The Youthie touch football team is proudly sponsored by the “Risky Drinking” Program as part of the Tamworth Community Drug Action Team (CDAT).
The Youthie Footy Tipping competition is heating up. In first place is Josh Waters with 126 points, Athol Munro is placed second on 116 points, and on third with 114 points is Jarryd Knox.

July School Holiday Program: The program of activities and events for the July School Holidays at the Tamworth Youth Centre is now available for viewing and downloading at our website – www.theyouthie.org.
NAIDOC Family Day: Friday the 10th July at Bicentennial Park in Tamworth. Come along and celebrate Indigenous culture and build bridges between Indigenous and non Indigenous Australians! Festivities commence with a Street Parade meeting at Viaduct Park at 9:45am for a 10am departure, the procession will then make its way along Peel St, into White St and conclude in Bicentennial Park. The Family Day will then commence at 11am with a Flag Raising Ceremony. Other highlights of the day will include Aboriginal Art, free BBQ lunch, hip hop band “The Last Kinection” performing live, Down Under with Reptiles, information stalls, free kids rides and Aboriginal dancing.
