The “Youthie” is a drop-in youth centre servicing young people aged 12 - 18 years of age in the Tamworth area. The Youthie is operated by the Tamworth Regional Council and offers a variety of recreational, sports, technology, arts and music based activities. During the school holidays a comprehensive program of activities are organised that young people can become involved with. The “Youthie” is also the meeting place for the Tamworth Youth Advisory, is the hub of annual Youthweek activities in the Tamworth region, and presents regular youth entertainment events in the form of disco’s and live bands. Live, Train & Work: Presented by TAFE Tamworth. If you are 15 - 19 years of age or a parent or guardian of a 15 - 19 year old, you are invited to join us to learn about Career Pathways and Training options. There will be opportunities to discuss employment and training options first hand with employees and teaching staff. Mental health discussion: The Minister for Mental Health and Ageing, The Hon Mark Butler MP, and ReachOut.com are inviting young people aged 14-25 to take part in an online conversation on the ReachOut.com forums, 6:30 8:00 pm on Wednesday, 10 August. This is your chance to have a say about mental health and the services that affect you, your friends, family and community. Whats been your experience seeking help? Which services work? Which dont?
